Here are some new pictures of Sarah ...
she found this hat in her closet - clearly it's too small but she's loved wearing it around
playin in the car
We've spent a good deal of time playing on the deck lately. The Fall weather has felt soooo good! Sarah was giggling so much as Jon was bouncing her ... her face clearly shows her delight!!
My Dad always sends us home with his old tennis balls for Mattie and Isla - lately Sarah's been claiming them! It's amazing how long she stays entertained by taking the top off, dumping the balls out, putting the balls back in, putting the top on, and repeating the whole process. I love the concentration on her face!
All seems to be going well with baby#2. Everything has been perfect at my 1st 2 doctors appointments. We have an ultrasound on Tuesday, where we could find out if the baby is a boy or girl - but we like the surprise so let the anticipation build!!!

"BAGGIES"

This morning when I dressed Sarah, I commented that we were putting on her khakis. All day, she's been calling them "baggies." She can say khaki, so I guess she's having a hard time remembering what to call them! Since our deck is totally kid-proof, I'll leave her out there alone for short periods of time. This morning, I heard a LOUD scream followed by "BAGGIES BAGGIES BAGGIES." I ran out there, and she was sitting in 1 of the chairs, seemingly totally fine. I realized the problem when I tried to pick her up - one of the buttons on the back pocket was stuck in the chair so poor girl couldn't move! :)

Sarah's latest

Several times this week when I went in to get Sarah from her nap, she'd look at me and say "blanket, night night" and lay back down! She'd then start asking for her stuffed animals. Sometimes she'll play like this for 20 minutes. At 1 point when I came in, she had piled them all up on one side. She cracks us up :)

what can be better than 2 "plugs"??!!

I have to say, if I had this blog 2 years ago, it would have been ALL about Mattie. But now poor Mattie and Isla are far more neglected than I'd like. At least they have each other :) Isla now stands taller than Mattie - yet Mattie is much thicker. Mattie reminds us of a sprinter (you know, rock solid athlete) and Isla reminds us of a lanky middle schooler who hasn't grown into her size. I'm curious to see how big Isla gets - if she's anything like her Dad (which she seems to be) - she's going to be 1 big dog when she's full grown!!

Yesterday was "Hillbilly Hootenanny Day" at Mother's Day Out. It was so cute - all the kids dressed up! I took a few pictures when we got home ...

slides

Slides continue to be a favorite for Sarah. Yesterday, we took her to a playground downtown. Of course she had a blast! Her bravery continues to amaze us - especially when she dove down the slide head first! And I just love the static hair :)
